ATP 500 Basel, Qualifying Round 1: Sumit Nagal defeats WR #67 F. Acosta | Breaks 8-match losing streak

India’s No. 1 Sumit Nagal overcame a nearly 4-hour battle pushing through physical issues (visibly cramps) in the final few games. He came back from a set down & a break down in the final set to defeat F. Acosta 5-7 7-6(3) 7-6(5) in the first qualifying round at ATP 500 Basel.

He ends his 8-match losing streak with a gritty win and now faces WR #63 James Duckworth in the FQR tomorrow.
